Back to School/Back to Life with CARE-LA: Date Changes & Upcoming Events!
Our Back to School/Back to Life events with the CARE-LA team have been amazing so far! You can watch Dr. Lauren Stutman’s Live Chat recording here, and Dr. Erin Cantwell’s Live Chat on the Whole-Brain Child here.
We wanted to let you know that the dates for the remaining three events in the series have changed:
Responding to Trauma with Dr. Katrina Rydzewski
Friday, September 10, at 10:00 a.m. PDT
Dr. Katrina Rydzewski will explain the impact of the Covid pandemic on reintegration in the classroom, and the world in general. She will break down the underlying mechanisms of trauma and then provide strategies for parents to respond to the emotional and behavioral challenges that may arise in their kids, based on the developmental stage of their individual child.
Motivational Strategies with Dr. Vivian Wang
Friday, September 24, at 10:00 a.m. PDT
Students may be heading back to school, but our kids will be dealing with the ripple effects of Covid for many months to come. With so many changes and disruptions in our children’s routines over the last year, it’s no wonder many students are feeling unmotivated. This can trigger negative thoughts and feelings, leading to anxiety or mood-related issues. Dr. Vivian Wang will provide tricks and tips for how to manage and overcome low motivation and difficult feelings and behaviors that come with changes in routine.
Q&A with Drs. Cantwell, Rydzewski, and Wang
Friday, October 8, at 10:00 a.m. PDT
All three CARE-LA doctors will lead the final session together and will answer any questions you may have.
